Two bits of fire coming from Forefront Recordings! Grievous Angel kicks this one off with the spacey, heavyweight “Kleer”. Siren-like synths warble in and out over choppy syncopated snares and bursting sub-laden bass. Definitely a dancefloor killer.
Flip for Grievous Angel’s remix of J Beat’s “Subwoofer”. This one rolls in with a percussive wash of steppy, staccato, pitched snare drums, builds over a sub tone, and then climaxes into a descending warp bass reminiscent of the heyday of Hardstep Jungle. Solid 4×4 number that simultaneously conjures references to some of the best years of Jungle and and 2-Step Garage at the same time.
