Dubbed by URB Magazine one of “…five of the most promising up-and-coming (UK Garage) producers here at home”, with several releases on vinyl, CD compilations, and digital distribution, and a dozen mixes gaining him exposure in other top music publications including, XLR8R, Mixer, Deuce (UK), and Undercover (UK). With releases on vinyl, digital, and compilation formats, several of his tunes have been charted and pushed in clubs and on pirate radio in the UK.
G Notorious has been pushing the sounds of the UK Underground in Boston since 1994. Starting as the fifth Jungle DJ in Boston with a residency at the legendary Jungle Roots/Sessions night and moving with the times to follow the twisting evolutions of UK Garage sounds from Speed Garage to 2-Step through Breakstep, Grime, Dubstep, Bassline, and UK Funky. As Bass Music has expanded globally and found new and diverse influences, G Notorious has been following and incorporating new styles like Juke and Moombahton. He has run several nights and held residencies over the years at Sessions, Language, Lively, Runnin, Operation Underground, and DUBWISE.
As a DJ, G Notorious contrasts soulful elements with rugged beats and heavy bass. He plays with a bias toward Reggae and Hip-Hop style vocals but represents the entire spectrum of sounds within UK Underground and Bass Music. With his particular take on these sounds, G Notorious has regularly rocked clubs, lounges and raves all over New England and New York. He has played from Maine, to Miami, and from Boston, to Dallas, TX, and outside Chicago, IL.
