OPERATION UNDERGROUND

GARAGE, GRIME & UNDERGROUND SOUNDS.

Operation Underground was an extension of {Re}Runnin which refocused on Garage and Grime. It ran from the Summer to Fall of 2005 at The Kells in Allston. Unfortunately, Sunday nights in a mainstream College area just didn't work for Underground music.

G Notorious, Jam-2, and Londonboy got together and restarted Runnin on Sunday nights at The Kells in Allston at the begining of the summer of 2005. This night has since evolved into it's current form as Operation Underground.

Spanning the year between the Spring of 2002 and 2003, Runnin Fridays at Ekco Lounge, in Boston's Chinatown district, was the most successful weekly Underground Garage event in the Northeast United States to date. While DnB was the soundtrack upstairs, the SoulChampion Crew exposed thousands of Boston club goers to the sounds of UK Underground Garage as well as for the first time, having a regular outlet to showcase their own productions. The crowd response? Amazing! Crazy thick vibe.

Lively started at the close of Dynamite. The SoulChampion crew joined forces with The Rinse, the major DrumnBass night in Boston at the time. The response was incredible! Club goers packed the room each week, eager to hear new sounds. From there, the night moved to Ekco Lounge where it combined with Tsunami DrumnBass to become Runnin. The Lively name was once again ressurected in 2003 at The Matrix.
