Tiny MC

Tiny MC, UK Garage and Grime MC and promoter

Tiny picked up the UK Garage sound in early 2000 and stumbled on such mix compilations as Non-Stop Garage Selections, Bubblin Club, The Sounds of Ayia Napa, and DJ Luck MC Neat's Kiss Garage. The sound was and would later become his passion.

He started to find his own lyrical style when a Garage weekly in Dallas started in February 2001. Produced by Valence Entertainment, the original members were Chrisko, Mundo, Mark J and Lifted MC. The night was one of the longest and most consistant Garage weeklies in the world, running for almost 4 years. Some have said he was born on the stage of Groovology. He has performed alongside such DJs as Emma Feline, Femme Fatale, DJ Touch, Lady G Spot, Deekline, Lisa Unique, MJ Cole, Richie Vibe Vee, DJ Q, Messiah, Lady Bline and many more.

Around July 2002 Tiny decided to promote and produce his own shows under the production name UNIT ONE. In October 2002, having the privilege of bringing one of the finest female Garage DJs, Femme Fatale, formerly from the BBC 1XTRA, he produced a high profile event, entitled Fatale Attraction. A year later, Richie "Vibe" Vee, also from the BBC 1XTRA came to the Red Jacket, one of Dallas' most established nightclubs. Months to follow, Gourmet Beats was produced with Light Touch from Balitmore, Maryland USA. The summer of 2003 Jobe approached him about doing another Garage weekly. The Friday night weekly consisted of KEITH P of Tuffbreaks, Eric B and Jobe of Sinelab and was one of the most successful Garage weeklies in the country.

With the new Grime sound emerging from London, Tiny and UNIT ONE just recently, produced an eclectic event called Culture Klash, consisting of visual art and urban music genres. The night was called by one reviewer "a model of how a grime event should run here in the US!"

Today, Tiny is producing tunes, writing lyrics, and producing eclectic events, which will further the sound of Garage, Grime and anything URBAN. UNIT ONE is for sure to look out for in 2005. BRAP!!!
