San Francisco Dubstep DJ and Producer

Jeremy Stepp aka Subtek has been DJing since 1995. He began his career mixing Hip Hop, learning from some of the best DJs in Central California. From 1997-2000 he expanded into Jungle, Trip Hop, Illbient, Dub and Breaks. In 2001 he discovered 2-step/UK Garage and has followed it into the Grime and Dubstep sounds of today (tomorrow?).

He is a fixture in the Central California and Bay Area underground dance scene, having held several residencies over the past 5 years. Most notably SAFE SF, the final incarnation of the legendary Bottom Heavy night at The Top in San Francisco. Subtek has produced and promoted many events since 2002, including Upfront and Essential in Fresno and Get Low, Dubfarm and The Choon Up in the Bay Area.

Currently, Subtek is producing and playing at the new Grime City monthly at Nickies in San Francisco as part of the B.I.G. Crew. Grime City is set to become the first successful Grime event in the Bay Area.

Over the years he has played with Mark Farina, Jeno, DJ Quest, Kode9, Daz I Cue, Simply Jeff, Jason Mundo, DJ Collage, Mike B, Star Eyes, Tomas, Odeed, Mystic, and Zion I.
