This Native New Yorker turned Proper Bostonian is an unlikely DJ, In fact he often identifies himself as a "Fan of DJ Culture". He is a relative newcomer to the craft but has spent years out on the dance floor which he says provided him with a valuable education and enables him to play from the dancer's perspective.

He cites Hip-Hop legendaries, Grand Master Flash, Afrika Bambaataa and Grand Wizard Theodore, along with former Boston DJ turned international producer Armand Van Helden and London's UK Garage pioneers, The Dreem Teem as a few of the sources that helped grow his interest in spinning.
Behind the decks he serves up a wicked concoction of UK Garage in its multitude of variant mutations. Although focused primarily on the UK Underground sound, he can also be heard fusing tracks of Pre-Millennium Hip Hop, B-Boy Breaks, R&B/Soul, and Classic House, Booty Bass, and Latin boogaloo along with DJ Senyo of the SoulChampion Crew under the "DarqSyde" moniker.
As a member of The SoulChampion Crew, Jam-2 has had the opportunity to work alongside some of the best UK Garage DJs in the country which has helped him develop his own unique style. "G Notorious, Elyte and Senyo have raised the bar for me significantly and it's always fun to work along side these talented DJs ...It gives me an opportunity to have fun playing music that I love or wild out on the dance floor and take on the role as the party ambassador." A role he serves comfortably when he's among the crowd of party go-ers on the dance floor or commandeering the decks.
Whether he's campaigning projects for his own media/events company, Bostown Massive, DarqSyde, or as a member of The SoulChampion Crew, Jam-2 is a "Purveyor of The UK Underground Sound," so you can expect spontaneous outbreaks of dancing and good times for anyone who frees their mind lets the music move them. Comfortable dancing shoes are strongly recommended.
