The UK Garage phenomenon has spread further afield than you may imagine. Tucked away on the west coast of Canada, in the streets of Vancouver and Victoria, the sound of the UK's underground is purveyed by DJ Phong. Catering to an energetic and eager fan-base of electronic music, DJ Phong is known as the Embassador of UK Garage of Western Canada. He plays the soulful, vocal, 2-Step, 4x4 and oldschool vibes that got the ladies' asses shakin' back in the day, and continues to now.

Starting in 2001, alongside his university education, DJ Phong found balance between school and his love for UK Garage and DJing -- with the help of former Victoria resident DJ Pants (currently in Dallas, TX). The duo rocked dancefloors, house and even bush parties.

Today DJ Phong does it alone, but he does it in his own unique style. Highlights include: Invitation and performance at the first North American UK Garage Conference held in Dallas, Texas, opening for the likes of Johnny Fiasco, rockin' a clubnight-turned-Nickelback-afterparty and every time a person comes up and asks "What is this sound?!". With the conclusion of his school career coming up, DJ Phong plans on trying his hand at production and to continue schoolin' dancefloors in UK Garage locally and abroad.
